Amalgam Free- A "silver filling" is a euphemism for an amalgam restoration, which a dentist places in a patient's tooth after a cavity is created by drilling out decay. Amalgam restorations consist of mercury, silver, tin, copper, and a trace amount of zinc. Amalgam free simply means we do not routinely use amalgam in our practice.

Crowns - A Crown is a long-term cemented method of replacing missing tooth structure. A crown is placed over an individual tooth, (somewhat like a thimble over your finger) where there is no longer sufficient tooth structure left to place a filling.
Bridges - A bridge spans a space where one or more teeth have been lost in the dental arch. The teeth on either end of the span are crowned. Both aesthetics (appearance) and function are considered when selecting a restoration most suitable for you. Many times we try to use a dental implant instead of a bridge there by preserving you natural teeth.

Denture/Partial - Partials use your remaining teeth to hold in plastic teeth with metal framework in place. Clasps attach to your teeth for retention. Partials are not as good as bridgework or implants, but cost less. The results are acceptable. Dentures stay in by suction alone and replace all missing teeth. Many patients utilize implants to add retention to dentures especially on the lower arch.
Restorative Dentistry - Restorative dentistry is the art of replacing a tooth or tooth structure which has been damaged or lost. This structure is replaced through a variety of procedures to include fillings, crowns, bridges and implants.
Veneers - Porcelain veneer, also known as dental laminates are thin porcelain shells which are bonded over the facial sides of the teeth to create an improved cosmetic appearance. Porcelain veneers are routinely used to cover teeth which are discolored, worn, chipped, or misaligned.
Typically veneers are difficult to stain, making veneers a very popular solution for many people seeking that perfect smile. Strong and very durable, veneers last from ten to fifteen years, and come in colors that will brighten dark teeth without the worry of them changing color. Veneers are typically done in only two appointments, and can actually strengthen your tooth.

Root Canal - Root canal treatment is necessary when the soft tissue inside the root canal, becomes inflamed or infected. The inflammation or infection can have a variety of causes: deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the tooth, or a crack or chip in the tooth. In addition, an injury to a tooth may cause pulp damage even if the tooth has no visible chips or cracks. If pulp inflammation or infection is left untreated, it can cause pain or lead to an abscess.
Extraction– When a tooth is non-restorable it is sometimes as a last resort necessary to remove that tooth. Wisdom teeth are often times removed for hygienic purposed as they are in many cases poorly positioned in the mouth and become the causative agent for a multitude of dental problems.
Dental Implants – The use of implants is becoming more common place. An implant is a titanium screw which serves as an artificial root for a missing tooth. We can place a single tooth on a single implant or restore multiple missing teeth with the use of a few implants and either bridge work or a removable denture.

Hygiene Services – There is no substitute for routine brushing and flossing that you take care of at home. We offer dental prophylaxis, fluoride treatment and exam every six months and for those people suffering from periodontal disease we provide periodontal cleanings at more frequent intervals to help maintain your teeth and gums. We also offer Breath Rx products for long lasting fresh breath.
Bleaching/Tooth Whitening - We offer In office and take home Whitening. The in office whitening procedure takes about 90 minutes during which you lay back listen to the music and relax. Your teeth can become up to four shades lighter. The In office system also includes take home trays. You can also choose to use the take home trays with out the In office whitening. Either way you can look forward to a brighter smile.
Oral Conscious Sedation – If you are dental phobic or if you have a lot of work that you need done and are not looking forward to any of it, conscious sedation is a wonderful way to get your needed work completed. Through the combination of oral medications and Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) procedures you once feared are now easily completed. Patients using this method of treatment report less pain during as well as after their appointments and in many cases they have no recollection of their appointment.
